Press play is an interactive installation that uses sight, sound and touch to promote communal play. The interactive outdoor installation is not just a visual experience, but a hub for activity within a public space. You can sit, climb, and lay on the installation's bubble like form, but when you touch the different colored pads the real magic happens. Each pad triggers a different sound creating a giant midi pad that people can play. The installation uses touch sensor technology to create this unique interactive experience. This project was commissioned by Alamance Arts Alliance to create as an outdoor sound sculpture. It was placed on the path from their headquarters to the local children's museum.
